3. RADIANT HEATER
It shall be a radiant type heater with the heat tubes located under the floor of the container box to prevent the flame from coming in contact with the hot asphalt. The interior heat chamber shall have passageways to direct the heat. These passageways shall be separate from the heat chamber. The heating chamber must be totally enclosed inside the container box.
4. HEATING SYSTEM – OPTIONAL LP GAS OR DIESEL BURNERS
The LP Gas burners shall be 2 each propane and have a minimum rating of 80,000 each BTU with an operating pressure of 10 PSI. The burner shall be controlled by an adjustable thermostat with a range of 0° F. to 300° F. It shall be ignited by a 12 volt electronic ignitor which provides 100% fuel shut off in the event of the burner flame being extinguished during the duty cycle. The burner area shall be fully enclosed.
The Diesel Burners shall be 2 each 70,000 BTU retort tube diesel burners with vertical exhaust stacks. The burners are thermostat controlled and regulated at 100 PSI. The ignition system is 12 volt DC with electronic igniter. Diesel burner has a safety shut-off on loss of flame. Burner ignites and regulated by the same thermostat as the electric heater. Thermostats will be 0/300° F. solid state.
5. ELECTRIC HEATING SYSTEM
The asphalt aggregate hopper and liquid asphalt oil tank is heated by a 220 volt, 62 kw immersion heater, thermostat controlled with 25’ of cord. The heating system is capable of maintaining heated material up to 300° F. during non-working hours.
6. HAND TORCH
For drying off repair site and cleaning hand tools, the unit has a 200,000 propane BTU hand torch with shut-off valve and 10’ of hose with hose rack. Hand torch has mounting bracket for transport. If diesel burner option is chosen, the unit will include a 20 lb LP bottle for hand torch.
7. SHOVELING APRON
Optional shoveling apron shall be constructed of a minimum of 10 gauge steel. It shall have a folding bottom to allow material to bypass freely and shall be mounted at the rear of the container. The apron shall have the capacity to hold 1/2 cubic yard of hot asphalt.
8. FRAME MOUNTED LP GAS BOTTLE – Only needed if unit has LP Gas Burners
A frame mounted 50 gallon capacity LP gas bottle with quick fill connector and fuel sight gauge. If unit has diesel burners, fuel can be supplied from truck fuel tank.
9. EMULSION SPRAY WAND AND HOSE
A 5’ x 3/8” wand equipped with fan nozzle and deadman control valve. Sprayer hose is 15’ x 1/2” with a reversible pump for cleaning.
10. EMULSION TANK
The tank is an optional capacity of 80, 100, 120 or 150 gallons. It has a double steel jacket with 2” insulation. The tank shall be heated with a heat transfer unit of steel heating coils capable of heating the emulsion to approximately 180° F. and using the truck engine cooling system as the heat source. The hoses from the truck cooling system shall have a shut off valve. Tank shall be equipped with a 220 volt thermostat controlled electric heating system for overnight heating.
11. SOLVENT / RELEASING AGENT TANK
An 18 gallon capacity tank, equipped with a 12 volt DC pump and a hand sprayer for cleaning tools and unit. There shall be a connector valve for flushing road oil pump and lines and a 1” drain.
12. HYDRAULIC CONTROL VALVE
